Carrier Oils for Essential Oils
Carrier oils are an important part of using aromatic essential oils on the skin. A good carrier oil has a long shelf life and neutral scent with minimal color.
Here are ten carriers to use with essential oils:
Abyssinian seed oil
Almond oil
Camellia seed oil
Marula oil
Daikon radish seed oil
Grapeseed oil
Jojoba seed oil
Peach kernel oil
Apricot kernel oil
Plum kernel oil

Daikon Radish Seed Oil
This is just a few of the many oils to use with essential oils.
Some carrier oils are more neutral than others. For example, plum or apricot kernel oils can like bitter almonds, like marzipan while almond oil is often quite neutral. Fractionated coconut oil, FCO, is a commonly used oil by aromatherapists for its long shelf life, lack of any scent, and remains liquid even when cold. But there are many whole oils that you can use in place of FCO.
